Chromatin in Gynecologic Disease


Research with a clinical focus on epigenetics in cancer and other diseases of the female reproductive tract through interrogation of chromatin remodeler complexes, which have been shown to be required for healthy uterine and ovarian physiology. Emphasis on functional genomics approaches permit global characterization of dysfunction in disease models which assist in prediction of direct molecular players for targeted manipulation and therapeutic intervention. Molecular platforms and models include genetically engineered mice targeting specific cellular populations, immortalized cell lines, and human primary tissue. Complementary bioinformatics analyses in human data sets provide additional clinical support and direction to generating hypotheses and translating bench results.
